Overall objective
To strengthen the academia-industry linkage and research space in the area of Civil Engineering for food security in sub-Saharan Africa.

Specific objectives
- To strengthen the linkage between academia and industries in the area of Civil Engineering within the hub and spoke universities;
- To improve the quality of teaching and learning Civil Engineering within the hub and spoke universities;
- To create a platform for students’ internships, while enhancing employability of graduates within the hub and spoke universities;
- To organize and host knowledge-sharing workshops and international conferences on a rotational basis within the hub and spoke universities;
- To enable academic staff, post doctorate and PhD students within the hub and spoke universities to carry out research visits to another research-led institution in Sub-Saharan Africa, in order to access research infrastructure, develop new research collaboration or strengthen the existing ones.
